Common Issues & Troubleshooting for Automatic Labeling Machines
Even the most reliable automatic labeling equipment may encounter minor issues during operation. Knowing how to troubleshoot common problems can minimize downtime, save costs, and keep your production line running smoothly. Below are solutions to the most frequent issues, based on our official operation manual.
1. Labels Are Tilted or Misaligned
- Cause: Incorrect label roll alignment, improper “Position of Label” setting, or uneven bottle placement.
- Solution: Recheck the label roll (ensure no tilting/looseness); adjust the “Position of Label” parameter on the touch screen; train operators to place bottles evenly on the conveyor.
2. Machine Won’t Power On
- Cause: Unstable power supply, ungrounded machine, or tripped circuit breaker.
- Solution: Verify the power cord is connected securely; ensure the machine is properly grounded; reset the circuit breaker if needed.
3. Labels Aren’t Dispensed Properly (Too Short/Too Long)
- Cause: Incorrect “Length of Label” setting or sensor misalignment.
- Solution: Recalibrate the “Length of Label” using the “LAB. Test” function; clean the label sensor to remove dust or debris.
4. Rollers Don’t Clamp Bottles Securely
- Cause: Wrong “Valve Delay” or “Valve Time” settings.
- Solution: Adjust the “Valve Delay” (shorten if clamping is too late) or “Valve Time” (lengthen for larger bottles/labels); run the “Val. Test” to verify.
5. Conveyor Belt Runs Unevenly
- Cause: Loose conveyor belt or debris buildup.
- Solution: Tighten the conveyor belt (follow the machine’s construction guide); clean the belt to remove dust or product residue; run the “Con. Test” to ensure smooth operation.
For unresolved issues, contact our trained technicians immediately—do not attempt to disassemble the machine or electric box yourself.
